Review: Spy Ninjas Voice Morpher & Night Vision Mission Kit
Spy Ninjas Toys Review: Are They Worth It?
This review is based on our experience of testing these Spy Ninjas toys when they were first released. Product availability may have changed since then, but many families still search for reviews before buying second-hand or collector’s items.
A Big Hit with Our Spy Ninjas Fan
When we were offered the chance to review a selection of Spy Ninjas toys, I knew they would be a huge hit with my little one.
She had never owned any Spy Ninjas merchandise before, but she already knew exactly who they were thanks to YouTube and chatting with her friends at school.
As soon as the parcel arrived, she couldn’t wait to open it and start her first mission.
What Are Spy Ninjas?
If your child is a fan of YouTube, there’s a good chance they’ve already heard of the Spy Ninjas.
The series follows a team of friends, including Chad Wild Clay and Vy Qwaint, as they work together to solve puzzles, crack codes and stop the mysterious Project Zorgo from taking over the world.
The toys are designed to encourage children to become part of the adventure, solving their own missions using spy gadgets, puzzles and imaginative role play.
Spy Ninjas Night Vision Mission Kit
RRP at the time of review: £24.99
The Night Vision Mission Kit includes a fantastic selection of spy-themed accessories, including:
Night vision goggles
Removable torch
Spy utility belt
Decoder wheel
Mission activity books
Spy ID card
Certificate of achievement
Notebook
Decoder tools
Straight away, my little one disappeared to start working through the mission books.
The activities kept her completely absorbed as she solved puzzles, cracked secret codes and worked her way through each challenge.
Her favourite feature was definitely the decoder wheel. She loved revealing hidden messages and using it to solve the different activities throughout the booklets.
The included decoder card was another clever addition, allowing her to uncover secret messages and complete hidden mazes.
It felt much more interactive than simply reading an activity book.
Spy Ninjas Project Zorgo Voice Morpher
RRP at the time of review: £12.99
The Voice Morpher quickly became everyone’s favourite.
It changes your voice into different effects, making role play even more entertaining.
What I wasn’t expecting was just how much use it would get.
Every family member was persuaded to have a go, and before long we were all experimenting with different voices.
Even our dog wasn’t safe!
She spent ages recording barks and other funny noises just to hear how they sounded after being transformed.
It certainly provided plenty of laughs.
Encouraging Imaginative Play
One of the things I really liked about both toys was how they encouraged imaginative play away from a screen.
Rather than simply watching Spy Ninjas videos, my little one was creating her own adventures, solving mysteries and inventing new spy missions around the house and garden.
The torch quickly became a bedtime favourite too, while the night vision goggles made evening adventures in the garden even more exciting.
Would We Recommend Spy Ninjas Toys?
Absolutely.
These toys kept my little one entertained long after the initial excitement of opening them had worn off.
The combination of puzzles, gadgets and imaginative role play meant she kept returning to them again and again.
In fact, she enjoyed them so much that I’d already bought her the Spy Ninjas New Recruit Mission Kit for her birthday before this review was even finished.
I think that says everything.
Final Thoughts
If your child enjoys secret missions, code breaking and imaginative adventures, Spy Ninjas toys offer plenty of opportunities for creative play.
They encourage problem solving, role play and teamwork while bringing favourite YouTube characters into the real world.
For us, they were a genuine success and provided many hours of fun.
