Project Mc2 5 A.D.I.S.N. Secret Journal Review

Project Mc2 Secret Journal Review (A.D.I.S.N Spy Notebook)

Summer absolutely adores Project Mc2. She watches it on Netflix all the time and already has quite a few of the dolls and toys, so this was always going to be a hit in our house.

If you’re not familiar, Project Mc2 is all about encouraging STEM (science, technology, engineering and maths), especially for girls. The series follows a group of super cool friends, Adrienne Attoms, Bryden Bandweth, Camryn Coyle, Devon D'Marco, Ember Evergreen and McKeyla McAlister, who balance everyday life with their secret science missions.

So when a toy comes along that blends that world with real play? You already know it’s going to go down well.

What Is the Project Mc2 A.D.I.S.N Secret Journal?

We were sent the Project Mc2 A.D.I.S.N Secret Journal, and this one ticked a very specific box for Summer, she has wanted a secret diary for ages (mainly to hide notes from her brothers, obviously 😅).

But this isn’t just a basic notebook, it’s designed as a spy style interactive journal.

Key Features

  • NeRDy Bracelet Scanner
The journal unlocks using a bracelet covered in scientific symbols. You scan it across the front to open it, very “secret agent” and very cool.

  • Hidden Phone Compartment
Inside, there’s space to place a phone. When paired with the app, it turns the journal into an interactive experience.

  • Project Mc2 A.D.I.S.N Journal App Integration
Once downloaded, the app gives you missions from NOV8 to complete, bringing the whole spy theme to life.

  • Secret UV Pen
Write hidden messages that can only be revealed using UV light this has been a massive hit.

  • Reusable Pages
Messages can be wiped clean and rewritten, so it keeps the fun going without running out of space.

  • Extras Included
Mission book and stickers for added play and personalisation.

Playtime Experience

This has been one of those toys that gets used properly, not just opened once and forgotten about.

Summer takes her role very seriously, writing secret notes, completing missions, and making sure everything is hidden safely away. But it’s also just fun. She’ll happily sit and play with it for long stretches, completely absorbed.

The mix of:

  • imaginative role play

  • interactive tech

  • and hands on activity

…keeps it feeling fresh every time she picks it up.

Why We Love It

  • Encourages STEM based thinking in a fun, accessible way

  • Perfect for kids who love imaginative/secret agent play

  • Interactive features make it feel more “grown up”

  • Reusable elements = longer lasting play

  • Great alternative to a standard diary

Anything to Consider

  • You’ll need a compatible phone for full app functionality

  • Some younger children may need help setting it up initially

  • Best suited for children who enjoy structured or imaginative play

Final Thoughts

If your child already loves Project Mc2, this feels like such a natural extension of that world.

It combines creativity, problem-solving and a bit of tech, which is a great mix, and it genuinely keeps them engaged.

For us, it’s been a lovely balance of fun and learning (with a lot of secret notes along the way).
