Halloween Crafting with Bostik

We've being doing some Halloween crafting with Bostik.

We were sent a box full of craft bits and bobs and together we decided to make a witch hat. With the rest of the arts and crafts, the kids had fun making lots of autumn themed montages.

Materials to make your witch hat:

  • Paper plate
  • Pipe cleaners
  • Decorative fabric
  • Cardboard sheet
  • Felt paper
  • Scissors
  • Sellotape
  • Bostik foam pads

Instructions:

With your paper plate make triangle cuts in the center and push the triangles up. For the top of the hat, roll your cardboard sheet into a cone shape and tape it in the inside to secure it together. Then wrap and stick using the foam pads the felt paper around the cone shape. Attach the cone shape, to the paper plate sellotaping the triangles inside the cone.  You now have the shape of your witches hat.

We then decorated our witch hat with wrapping a decorative fabric near the bottom of the cone part of the hat. And for the base/rim of the hat again we used a decorative fabric sticking it down with the foam pads.

We finished it off by placing a pipe cleaner in the top bending it to look like it was drooping over, with a leaf attached on the bottom.

You could add string to make it wearable, but for our witches hat, we plan to use it for decoration and display it at our Halloween party.
